Jolibee: 2/13

Written March 2019

Day 0

Our flight was at 6pm on Wednesday, so Norina and I both worked half days, before maxing our way out to the airport.  We got in around 8:30, but the shuttle to the car rental area took awhile, so it probably wasn’t until 9:30 or so until we were all ready to go.  Our first stop was Walmart…to pick up some breakfast foods, snacks, and subs sandwiches for our hikes.

After we loaded up, we decided for some reason to look up if there was a Jolibee around…and there were 2 – and one of them closed at midnight…perfect!  It was inside of a Seafood City – a Filipino grocery store with a few Filipino fast food places inside of it.  Since it was late, we decided to go small, and shared a 2 piece fried chicken and spaghetti meal.  This was my first time eating Jolibee, and the fried chicken was the best fast food fried chicken I’ve ever had – beats out Popeye’s!  The spaghetti was different…with a little sweeter flavor…I liked that too!

After we had our fill, we made our way over to and checked into Bluegreen Club 36 Vacation Resort.  It was just off of the strip, about a mile from the MGM Grand.  The room was alright…it had a small kitchen which was nice…small living room…and maybe the most handy for us since we packed fairly light – a washer and dryer!  We unpacked all of our stuff, and passed out pretty fast, as it’d been a pretty long day for us.
