Costa Rica – May

Our big trip for the year…. 2+ weeks of hiking around and enjoying beautiful Costa Rica! Well – that never happened. We held out hope for as long as we could that things would get better…covid would disappear…and travel would be reopened…but the world had other plans.

But the good news for us though, was that along with those other plans came a huge life-changer for us…on May 6th, Norina and I put an offer down on what would eventually become our “forever home”. This would almost certainly never have happened had we still planned on going to Costa Rica. And with how the real estate market started to skyrocket just a couple months afterwards, there is no way that we would have been able to afford this or any comparable house had we waited. The timing was impeccable and the stars just seemed to align for us!

Irvington Walk – 5/1

Engage-iversary – 5/11

This marked the 1st anniversary of our engagement, and the 1st year we skipped out on our plan to hike Dog Mountain every year on this day. Well – it wasn’t totally our fault, as the trail was closed due to covid restrictions. And we wound up having our home inspection on this day. So we decided instead to go to our 1st date spot instead, and then have a little takeout cheesecake factory picnic a nearby park instead while the inspector was doing his thing.
